Result of the 4th Bicommunal Photography Competition

 

The 4th Bicommunal Photography Competition on the theme “Cypriot Nature”, organised by AKEL and the Left – GUE/NGL Group in the European Parliament, is coming to an end for yet another year, with the announcement of the photographs that will be awarded, as well as those that will be included in the photography exhibitions to follow.

A total of 90 Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots participated in the competition with the submission of 344 photographs. The jury was composed of 20 Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots from the field of photography and culture in general who assessed the photos through online voting.

The first 3 winners of the competition are as follows:

– 1st Prize – Elias Lambrou (Photo: Cape Greco)

– 2nd Prize – Marinos Angelides (Photo: Little Arctic).

– 3rd Prize – Sadık Azimli (Photo: Tranquility)

The first winners will be included in a Visitor’s Group to Brussels and will be awarded with an honorary prize. In addition, the other 9 participants whose photos were selected for the 2023 Calendar will be awarded at the event. The other awards and the photos that have been selected for the exhibition, as well as the members of the jury and organizing committee, are attached. Also the 12 best photos can be found HERE.

The event at which the winners will be awarded and the photography exhibition will be launched will take place on Saturday, 17 December at 11am at Chateau Status in Nicosia.
