AKEL submits Bill Proposal for the criminalisation of bullying

19 April 2022, AKEL C.C. Press Office, Nicosia

As part of the campaign it has been waging against all forms of bullying, AKEL has submitted a Bill Proposal for a Law on the criminalisation of bullying in Parliament. This proposal is the beginning of the formulation of a new modern, comprehensive and effective legislation on the phenomenon of bullying.

There is an urgent need for a comprehensive policy to confront bullying through prevention, providing support for victims, intervention programmes for victims and witnesses of such phenomena.

AKEL will continue its efforts against bullying both inside and outside Parliament so that the campaign slogan “We say NO to all forms of bullying” becomes a reality.
