Statement by the General Secretary of AKEL Stefanos Stefanou

At AKEL, we have learned to look you in the eye.

So today, as the election campaign comes to a close, we look you in the eye and ask you to support us with your vote.

We need your support because only with it will we be able to defend your rights and needs in Parliament.

So that we can continue to fight against rising costs, against the arbitrariness of powerful interests and the establishment, against inequalities.

So that we can continue to assert a better quality of life for the many. Through the assumption of bold legislative initiatives that support society. For the right to housing. For work with rights. For dignified pensions. For the young generation, which is the future of our country.

To stand united against the far right and defend our democracy. For the hope of a solution to the Cyprus problem that ends the occupation and reunites Cyprus and our people.

A strong AKEL – Left – Social Alliance in Parliament means strength for our country and our people.

On Sunday, we vote for the many. We vote for society.
