The latest pre-election statements by Nicos Anastasiades and Nicos Christodoulides are provoking society. Anastasiades, the man of corruption and the haircut that was imposed on bank deposits, in tune with his successor, Christodoulides, the man of the banks and Videogate, want to lecture citizens on how to vote. Instead of apologizing to society, they want to celebrate this coming Sunday so they can claim that society has rewarded them. But the empty promises they’re now splashing around only convince the naive. They care neither for “stability”, nor for the country. Their sole concern is to keep the feast of powerful interests going on the backs of the people and to ensure their scandals remain unpunished forever.
It is no coincidence that all of them have targeted AKEL permanently. They know that only AKEL, the Left, can stand up to them as the strong pole of progress, democracy, and society. This coming Sunday is the critical moment. Now is the time to thwart their plans.
A vote for AKEL – Left – Social Alliance is the vote that will stop them in their tracks and pave the way for real and progressive change in our country.
