The new European Cancer Strategy and Cypriot reality

The AKEL delegation to the Group of the Left GUE/NGL in the European Parliament, the European Affairs Bureau of the Central Committee of AKEL and the Health Policy sector of the C.C. of AKEL are organising a roundtable discussion on “The new European Cancer Strategy and the Cypriot reality”.

The event will take place tomorrow, Saturday, 19 February, at 9.30 a.m. in the Conference Room of the Hilton Hotel, (1 Achaion, Engomi, Nicosia).

The event will be addressed by AKEL Parliamentary Representative Giorgos Loukaides.

Speakers include AKEL MEP Giorgos Georgiou and Dr. Chrysanthos (Athos) Georgiou, Head of Health Policy of the Central Committee of AKEL.

This will be followed by interventions by the Minister of Health Mr. Michalis Hadjipandela, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives Dr. Adamos Adamou, AKEL-Left New Forces MP and Member of the Parliamentary Health Affairs Committee Marina Nikolaou, as well as representatives of organisations and associations active on cancer issues.
