The General Secretary of the C.C. of AKEL met with the Ambassador of Switzerland

The General Secretary of the Central Committee of AKEL, Stefanos Stefanou, met today with the Ambassador of Switzerland to Cyprus Christoph Burgener. The General Secretary of AKEL was accompanied by Vera Polycarpou, Head of the International Relations and European Policy of AKEL.

Stefanos Stefanou briefed the Swiss diplomat about AKEL’s position on the need for serious moves to be taken for the resumption of the talks from where they had remained at Crans Montana, as well as the Party’s specific proposals in this regard. During the meeting, there was a briefing made on AKEL’s positions on European issues, as well as an exchange of views on the current international situation.
