With the “White Paper” of the European Commission and the five scenarios that are proposed an admission is made of the deadlocks in which the EU finds itself. However, no alternative solutions are proposed whatsoever in any of these five scenarios. To the contrary. In all the scenarios the identity and character of the European Union today is maintained. That is to say, the EU of the monopolies, austerity and Memoranda; the EU of poverty, unemployment and social exclusion; the EU of uninsured and flexible work; the multi-speed EU and of double standards policy; the EU of severe democratic deficits, militarization and full alignment with NATO.
In none of the scenarios is the EU of democracy, solidarity, equality, peace and social progress pursued. This is also precisely the reason why the overwhelming majority of European citizens will turn their backs on yet another distraction on the European project about which it goes without saying, in this case too, the peoples will not asked to express their will in referenda.
