AKEL initiatives on Earth Hour 2021

Actions for Earth Hour have been a custom for some years now as an effort by people around the world to send out a message to world leaders that a drastic global agreement on tackling climate change has never been so imperative. Unfortunately, this goal has not been achieved to date.
AKEL is participating in this global action and calls on the people to embrace the initiative by turning off their lights for an hour. At the same time, AKEL will be organizing the following symbolic events on Saturday 27th March 2021:
Nicosia
Cleaning campaign in Nicosia – Lakatamia – Strovolos 10:30 am (meeting points Café strada Lakatamia, Strovolos Eleonon Bridge and in the parking lot of the Old Hospital)
Larnaca
Cleaning of the coastal front of the city from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Larnaca – Kastella Beach
Voroklini – From the Tourist Kiosk of Voroklini to the Golden fish restaurant
Kiti – Kaoulji beach
Pervolia – Faros Beach
Ormidia – Luma Beach
Paphos
Tree planting by the POGO women’s movement in Chloraka 10:30 ia.m
The activities will start at 10:30 in the morning.
