Policies to support children with disabilities and their families must be strengthened

The General Secretary of AKEL Stefanos Stefanou sent the message that the policies of the state and society must be strengthened to provide support to children with disabilities and health problems and their families from the Radio Marathon pavilion where he delivered the Party’s financial contribution. He expressed the certainty that the people, despite the difficult conditions they are facing today, will also contribute to this effort with generosity and from their savings.

As every year, the General Secretary of AKEL was present at the events of the Radio Marathon to express, as he said, his congratulations to the initiators, organisers, protagonists and the many volunteers who participate in this festival of humanist attitude and solidarity. “We also support this very important effort and at the same time I note that both the Radio Marathon and the mass participation in the Radio Marathon, in terms of service and contribution, reminds us of the need for the state and society to in practice set as their primary priority the implementation of policies providing support for children with disabilities and problems of both themselves and their families,” stressed Stefanos Stefanou.
