DISY government strategy is falling apart

AKEL has never accepted and will never accept Turkey’s partitionist demands. Unfortunately, the President of the Republic, who has been discussing the two-state solution behind closed doors, cannot say the same.

The Government Spokesman however has nothing to say about the substance. For years, the government of ruling DISY party has been cultivating illusions that it would succeed in imposing sanctions that would hurt Turkey. This strategy is falling apart now, but they are not telling us who will take responsibility for the failure and who will apologise to the people for the constant lies. Will it be Nicos Anastasiades? DISY President Averof Neophytou? Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides? Or better, all them together?
