AKEL meeting with the Office of the Commissioner for State Aid Control

A meeting took place today between a delegation of the Central Committee of AKEL, headed by the General Secretary of the C.C. Stefanos Stefanou, and a delegation from the Office of the Commissioner for State Aid Control, Stella Michaelidou.

The meeting included a presentation of the work carried out by the Office, as well as an analysis of the actions and activities undertaken by it throughout this period.

On his part, the General Secretary of AKEL expressed the Party’s appreciation for the work carried out by the Office and expressed the need for the greatest possible use of the possibilities provided by the legal framework of the European Union regarding state aid, especially during this period, in order to tackle the wave of price hikes and increases in energy and essential goods.

The delegation of AKEL also included Haris Polycarpou, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee and Head of the Economy Policy of the Party.
