AKEL denounces in the strongest possible terms the attacks on primary schools

There is no pretext and no excuse whatsoever that can justify such actions. The authorities must immediately identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

We express our solidarity with the educational world and the workers employed in schools who are conscientiously trying to carry out their work in very difficult conditions.

Cypriot society is being led down dangerous paths and the DISY Government must realise this and stop hiding. It bears a share of responsibility for these developments. It must assume responsibility and act in such a way so that such phenomena are not repeated. It must contribute to the de-escalation of the tension that is prevalent in society so that these phenomena are not repeated.
