AKEL at the “Avante” Festival in Portugal

AKEL participated this year too in the Festival of “Avante”, the newspaper of the Portuguese Communist Party (PCP). The Festival took place on 2-3-4th September in the city of Seixal, Portugal. AKEL was represented at the Festival by Elias Demetriou, member of the Central Committee and the International Relations Bureau of the Party, while the delegation was accompanied by volunteers.

AKEL had its own stand in the area of the International City where it distributed informative material on the Cyprus problem in various languages.

Furthermore, the member of the Central Committee of AKEL Elias Demetriou was a speaker at a Solidarity Action dedicated t5o the struggle of Cyprus and its people Cyprus entitled “End the Turkish occupation of Cyprus”.
