What suits Turkey is the complete collapse of the negotiation procedure
Statement by Stefanos Stefanou, AKEL C.C. Spokesperson

The statement by the Turkish Foreign Minister Mr. Cavousoglou that “the procedure that started in 2008 has ended”, proves that what suits Turkey is the complete collapse of the negotiation procedure.
It is critically important to find a way of continuing the negotiations from the point where they were interrupted by safeguarding the convergences recorded and utilizing the Guterres framework. The vague and unrealistic “New Strategy”, which the candidate of the so-called intermediate spectrum Mr. N. Papadopoulos is proclaiming, leads to facilitating Turkey to fulfill its goals for the consolidation of the occupation fait accompli.
