AKEL General Secretary’s contacts with Party leaders and political figures of the Turkish Cypriot community

The General Secretary of the C.C. of AKEL Andros Kyprianou this morning went to the occupied areas where he had successive meetings with leaders of political Parties and political figures of the Turkish Cypriot community. More specifically:
The General Secretary of AKEL met with President of the Republican Turkish Party Mr. Tufan Erhürman, the President of the Communal Democracy Party Mr. Cemal Ozyigit and with the former leader of the Turkish Cypriot community Mr. Mehmet Ali Talat, as well as associates of Mr. Akinci.
The subject of the General Secretary of the C.C. of AKEL’s meetings was the situation that has been created in the negotiations and the need for continuing efforts to achieve a solution to the Cyprus problem.
