The new cycle of bloodshed in Israel and Palestine can only provoke concern and shock throughout the world. The blind strikes and deaths of civilians, no matter who commits them, are always reprehensible and can in no way be justified.
The Palestinian and Israeli people deserve to live in peace and security. The vicious cycle of bloodshed and violence can be broken by putting an end to the Israeli occupation and colonisation of the Palestinian territories. With a solution based on the Resolutions of the UN that provide for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of 4 June 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital, coexisting peacefully alongside the State of Israel.
