The President of the Republic has not replied to AKEL’s letter on the formation of “Cyprus Problem Group”

The Government Spokesman said today that the President of the Republic has asked the parties to submit proposals for persons to staff the “Cyprus Problem Group” he announced. The President added that certain political forces have done so and others have not.

We recall that since the end of October, AKEL has asked the President of the Republic in a written letter for clarifications regarding the role and mandate of this Group. To date, President Christodoulides has not responded to the issues AKEL raised.
