Solidarity with the peace-loving forces of Turkey!

AKEL expresses its grief about the new deadly bomb attack in Ankara which, according to the latest information, has caused 30 dead and dozens of wounded. The deadly explosions occurred in the midst of a peaceful demonstration organized by the Peoples’ Democratic Party HDP and other left and peace-loving forces.
So far the perpetrators of this new crime committed have not been ascertained, however for sure behind this action lie sinister motives that oppose peace and democracy in the country. Given that the demonstrators were demanding an end to the attacks waged by the Turkish army against Kurdish targets in Syria and northern Iraq, but also taking into account the tense civil war situation, in view of the forthcoming elections too, the search for the perpetrators of the crime leads to specific directions.
On this occasion AKEL express its solidarity with the peace-loving forces in the country in their just struggle to end the armed conflicts and for the victory of democracy in the country.
