Letter of the General Secretary of the C.C. of AKEL S.Stefanou to the President of the Republic

The General Secretary of the Central Committee of AKEL, Stefanos Stefanou, sent a letter to the President of the Republic today, in which he requests the convening of the Council of Political Heads on the consequences and problems arising and affecting our country due to the situation in Ukraine as a result of the Russian invasion.

The letter follows:

“With this letter we request that you convene a meeting of the Council of Political Heads as soon as possible to discuss the consequences and problems arising and affecting our country due to the situation prevailing in Ukraine as a result of the Russian invasion.

We request that Ministers and Deputy Ministers with responsibility in the areas that are affected by the situation should be present at the meeting.

I point out that AKEL is ready to contribute according to its own capabilities to confront the negative consequences”.
