High-level AKEL Delegation to Russia for contacts

An AKEL Delegation headed by the General Secretary of the C.C. of the Party Andros Kyprianou, accompanied by Toumazos Tsielepis, member of the Political Bureau of the C.C. of AKEL and Vera Polycarpou, member of the C.C. of AKEL and Head of the International Relations and European Affairs Department, departs today Monday, 10th October 2016 for Moscow.
Before the AKEL Delegation’s departure statements will be made by the General Secretary of the C.C. of AKEL at Larnaca Airport.
During the AKEL Delegation’s visit to Moscow, the following meetings are scheduled to take place:
Tuesday, 11th September 2016:
- 11:00 a.m. Meeting with the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mr. Sergey Lavrov, at the Foreign Ministry.
- 12:15 p.m. Working lunch with the Vice-President of the Association “Business Russia” Mr. Andrei Nazarev (Delavaya Rosia).
- 14:00 p.m. Meeting with the Vice-Chairman of the State Duma International Affairs Committee Mr. Alexey Vasilyevich Chepa and with the Secretary of the Presidency of the Central Council of the “Fair Russia” party for International Affairs Mr. Alexander Leonidovich Romanovich. The meeting will be held at the Russian Duma.
- 14:30 p.m., Meeting with the President of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Mr. Gennady Zyuganov at the Russian Duma.
- 16:30 p.m. Meeting with the Vice-President of the “Unified Russia” Party Mr. Sergey Zheleznyak (Vladimirovich) at the Central Executive Committee of the Party.
