New figures reveal true picture of Cyprus economy

At the same time as the DISY party – Anastasiades Government is boasting about how splendidly the Cyprus economy is evolving and receiving the praise of the Troika lenders for the overzealous implementation of anti-social Memoranda austerity policies, one index figure after the other released records the stark and brutal reality experienced by the working people, households and small businesses in our country.
According to EUROSTAT Cyprus, besides recording the most negative figures with regards non-performing loans, social benefits, the long-term unemployment, deflation, in borrowing rates and other figures, also has the most negative figures in relation to the reduction in wages, which has reached -1.8 %.
In other words, developments in the Cyprus economy continue to evolve splendidly, given that indeed the undeclared aim is fulfilled for the further impoverishment of working people and our people, for the redistribution of wealth in favor of big business, the selling off of public wealth and reactionary character deregulations.
Meanwhile, within the context of their communication propaganda, the government and ruling forces are announcing plans for developmental projects when they deliberately removed from the real economy 760 million Euros just for 2015-16, through the re-adjustment of the targets for primary surpluses in the updated Memorandum.
