Art Exhibition “From Pain to Hope”
The opening of the Art Exhibition “From Pain to Hope” organized by the AKEL Rapprochement Bureau in collaboration with “Together We Can” and the “Cultural Movement” took place on Monday, January 27, 2025. The main speakers at the opening were the Secretary General of the AKEL Central Committee Stefanos Stefanou and Sevgül Uludağ, Investigative Journalist and Peace Activist.
The artists’ works aim to express the human Pain of all Cypriots regarding the tragic events of the island’s modern history as well as how this pain can be healed and transformed into Hope.
The exhibition includes paintings and ceramics by 12 Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot artists, while the artistic curators of the exhibition are sculptor Fotos Dimitriou and painter Nilgün Güney.
