AKEL will submit a draft bill to suspend foreclosures

We come back to our accusations about the continuation of the procedures related to foreclosures, despite the assurances given by banks about the opposite.
We note that the Ministry of Finance has also acknowledged that similar complaints have been made to it when AKEL raised the issue.
Since the day we made this fact public, the complaints have increased. Related procedures for foreclosures are continuing, creating serious fait accompli to the detriment of borrowers.
Bearing this fact in mind, AKEL will activate the draft bill it has submitted in Parliament for the suspension of all the procedures included in the Legislation on foreclosures so long as the pandemic continues.
The continuation of the procedure for foreclosures leaves us no choice!
