AKEL sends condolences letter in regards to the terrorist attack against the newspaper «Charlie Hebdo»

 

charlie hebdoThe General Secretary of the C.C. AKEL sent today a letter to the French Ambassador in Cyprus Mr. Jean-Luc Florent conveying the condolences of AKEL regarding the terrorist attack against workers of the newspaper «Charlie Hebdo» in Paris. The main part of the letter follows below:

“Please convey the deep condolences of the Central Committee of AKEL and myself to the Presidency of the French Republic and the French people with regards to the tragic outcome of the terrorist attack against the newspaper “Charlie Hebdo”.

The attack that led to the death or injury of working people of the newspaper will be recorded as one of the darkest pages of the history of the French nation and the world, as well as for the principles of freedom of expression and democracy.”
