AKEL present at the “Avante” Festival

The AKEL Delegation of Stefanos Stefanou, member of the Political Bureau of the C.C. of AKEL and Georgos Koukoumas, member of the Department of International Relations of the C.C. of AKEL, departed today to represent AKEL at this year’s Festival of “AVANTE”, which takes place on 5-7th September. The Festival is organized by the newspaper “Avanti”, the weekly voice of the Portuguese Communist Party.

Within the framework of the Festival Stefanos Stefanou will be a speaker in two debates on the subject of the 40th anniversary since the Red Carnation Revolution in Portugal and on the issue of Palestine, respectively. Besides the AKEL Delegation, volunteers from the ranks of the EDON Youth Organisation will run AKEL’s stand at the Festival.
