AKEL meetings with tourism bodies/organisations

The first of a series of meetings between AKEL and tourism operators, which are taking place in the light of the impact of the sanctions being imposed and their serious consequences on the tourism sector, was completed today.

Today’s meeting, in which AKEL Parliamentary Representative Giorgos Loukaides and members of the Party’s Tourism Affairs Bureau, attended and participated, involved a discussion with operators from the entire spectrum of the hotel sector, as well as workers in the tourism industry in the Larnaca District, who raised the growing problems they are facing today.

AKEL’s aim through these discussions is to formulate immediate and realistic proposals to address the consequences for tourism and, by extension, the Cyprus economy.

AKEL will continue its discussions with all involved tourism stakeholders as follows:

  • Tuesday 22/3 at 5:30pm at Atlantica Miramare Beach in Limassol in the presence of the General Secretary of the C.C. of AKEL Stefanos Stefanou.
  • Wednesday 23/3 at 11:00am at the “Thalassa” Municipal Museum in Agia Napa in the presence of the General Secretary of the C.C. of AKEL Stefanos Stefanou.
  • Wednesday 23/3 at 5:00pm at the Elysium Hotel in Paphos in the presence of AKEL Parliamentary Representative Giorgos Loukaides.
