AKEL condemns any attempt to silence journalistic investigation

AKEL denounces the criminal prosecution of the well-known Greek journalist Kostas Vaxevanis and every attempt to silence investigative journalism. The phenomena of persecuting journalists, which are increasing alarmingly in a number of European countries and around the world, are dangerous for the future of a free press and democracy itself.
