AKEL calls for mass participation in tomorrow’s Famagusta Municipality rally

Famagusta belongs to its lawful owners and must return to them. This is precisely what Resolutions 550 and 789 of the UN Security Council provide for. This will be the message that will be conveyed by tomorrow’s anti-occupation rally being organized by the Municipality of Famagusta. We call on all Cypriots – and in particular those from Varosha – to participate in the rally in mass numbers.
The mass participation will send out a powerful response to Turkey’s machinations in relation to Famagusta and for continuing the efforts for a solution of the Cyprus problem, that will end the occupation and reunite our country and people.
