The Anti-Corruption Authority’s Finding on the book “State-Mafia” confirmed what society has been experiencing for years under the Anastasiades regime. It highlights the huge entanglement/interwoven interests and scandals of the Anastasiades-DISY administration, as well as the practices of covering up corruption.

The offenses for which the former President of the Republic, N. Anastasiades, and those in his inner circle are being investigated are extremely serious and bring shame upon the country. These criminal offenses follow the blatant conflict of interest, the manipulation of institutions, and the arrogance of this closed system of vested interests, which continues to this day under the current Christodoulides government.

Impunity for all of this cannot continue any longer. It is a universal demand of society that an independent and impartial investigation should be conducted into everything documented in the Report. This system of entanglement and cover-ups must be dismantled. The rule of law and legitimacy must prevail.

That is why we address an open call to society with the following demands:

  1. The immediate resignation of G. Savvides and S. Angelides from their positions as Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General, respectively.
  2. An independent investigation into the offenses documented in the Finding.
  3. Bringing the suspects to justice, holding them accountable, and punishing those found guilty.
  4. Restoring our country’s institutions and the rule of law.
