A delegation of the Communist Party of Cuba on AKEL’s invitation had contacts and meetings in Cyprus

A delegation of the Communist Party of Cuba is in Cyprus since the day before yesterday, at the invitation of AKEL for a series of contacts and meetings. During its three-day visit, the delegation of the Communist Party of Cuba, headed by the Deputy Head of International Relations of the Central Committee of the Party Juan Carlos Marsan, held meetings with the leadership of AKEL and EDON Youth Organization, with the Speaker of the House of Representatives and other parliamentary parties, the Cyprus-Cuba Friendship Association and the Cuban community living and working in Cyprus. The delegation also visited the José Martí monument in Nicosia and the monument dedicated to Fidel and Che in the Municipality of Tseri.

On Tuesday, 20th November Juan Carlos Marsan was the keynote speaker in a debate held on the Cuban Revolution, which was dedicated to the two years since Fidel’s death at the Local Club of the People’s Movement of the mass organisations of the Left “Kavazolgou-Misiaoulis” in the suburb of Acropolis in Nicosia.
