Presentation of the 2026 ‘Tefkros Anthias – Theodosis Pierides’ Award for Cultural Contribution of the Central Committee of AKEL

The ‘Tefkros Anthias – Theodosis Pierides’ Award for Cultural Contribution, established by the Central Committee of AKEL, is awarded for 2026 to the writer and academic Giorgos Georgis, the visual artist Theodoulos Gregoriou and the composer Savvas.

The Young Artist Award will be presented to pianist Anna Avramidou.

It should be noted that the Young Artist Award was established in 2025.

The Award Committee comprises of Makis Symeou, Chair, and members Kostas Lymbouris, Athina Papadopoulou, Marianna Galidi and Andreas Savva.

The award ceremony for the 2026 ‘Tefkros Anthias – Theodosis Pierides’ Award for Cultural Contribution of AKEL will take place on Monday, 28 September, at 8.00 pm, at the Pallas Theatre in Nicosia.
