DISY must state whether it agrees with Averof Neofytou’s statement in favour of continuing the U.S.-Israel war in Iran

The DISY MP and former President of DISY Averof Neofytou, speaking at a conference in Athens, addressed the Israeli Ambassador on the war in Iran and called on him to “finish the job.” In other words, A.Neofytou called for the US-Israel war against Iran to continue and intensify, a war that violates international law, poses nightmarish dangers to humanity and has enormous economic consequences borne by the states and peoples of our region.

DISY and its President Anita Demetriou must give an answer whether they endorse Averof Neophytou’s statement, which suits and serves the extremists ruling the U.S. and Israel. They must give an answer whether this is the foreign policy they want to pursue.

AKEL sends the following message to DISY: if they don’t care about human lives and international law, they should at least care about the devastating consequences that the U.S.-Israel war has for Cyprus and its economy—consequences that our society is once again paying for.
