AKEL supports the public doctors’ struggle for their professional insurance

Today’s doctors’ strike is yet more proof over the numerous problems that the DISY government accumulated in the health sector. This is an issue that has remained unresolved for four years which has generated the new mobilisations in public hospitals.

We express our solidarity with the doctors who are asserting their professional insurance. At the same time, we call on the Minister of Health and the State Health Services (OKYPY) to proceed immediately with solutions to this issue and to the problems public hospitals face in general.

The public health sector cannot withstand any more conflicts.
