AKEL replies to ruling DISY party

The Cypriot people as a whole – and not only AKEL – are allergic to the selling off of the country’s property, the plundering of its wealth and property and the ruling DISY party’s daily mockery.

DISY closed down the Cooperative Bank and now the private banks are running riot to the detriment of society. DISY sold off the Port of Limassol and now we are all paying the subsequent increases imposed by the managing companies. DISY President Averof Neophytou wants us to pay them twice. It would be wiser not to repeat daily the profits of the private interests who took over the Port of Limassol as they are simply a reminder of the crime that was committed. Namely, that ruling DISY sold off a profitable port and now the managing companies are maximising their profits with huge increases loaded on the backs of the economy and society.
