AKEL meeting with the Union of Cyprus Communities

An AKEL delegation headed by the General Secretary of the Central Committee of AKEL Stefanos Stefanou met today with a delegation from the Union of Cyprus Communities.

During the meeting, a very productive dialogue took place on the Reform of Local Government. AKEL reiterated its position that it is important for the Reform of Local Government to proceed, by of course discussing issues that are open and have been raised by the Union of Communities.

On its part, the delegation of the Union of Communities submitted a memorandum containing its positions on the issues which it considers should be discussed with regards the Reform.

The AKEL delegation included Aristos Damianou, Eleni Mavrou and Stavros Gerolatsitis.
