Statement by Christos Christofides, AKEL Political Bureau member, on the draft report of the UN Secretary General on the Cyprus problem

AKEL C.C. Preiss Office, 10th January 2021, Nicosia

If the press reports about the draft report of the Secretary General of the UN with regards his good services on the Cyprus problem are true, they must provoke great concern and reflection. If this will eventually be the final Report of the UN Secretary General, it will represent yet another negative step in the catastrophic course in recent years towards the finalization of the partition of our island. We urge the government to take action to avoid new unpleasant developments on the main issue that concerns the Cypriot people.
