AKEL letter to the State hospital doctors’ union PASYKI
AKEL will submit a comprehensive proposal on how the Government should handle public health and hospitals

The General Secretary of the C.C. of AKEL Andros Kyprianou sent a letter in response to the State hospital doctors’ union PASYKI.
The main part of the letter follows:
“Thank you for your letter. We fully agree with you on the need for the Government to do what is necessary to strengthen public hospitals and to make them the “backbone” of the National Health Scheme.
Every initiative that we, as AKEL, undertake is moving in this direction. Among other things, tomorrow, Friday, we will submit to the public a comprehensive proposal on how the Government should handle the issue of public health, and public hospitals in particular.
We are at your disposal for further discussion.”
