Instead of apologizing the government is issuing threats on Coops

It takes crass audacity for someone like DISY President Averof Neophytou to express his party’s position yesterday. They have destroyed Cooperatives and concluded a heterogeneous and unreasoned financial agreement with the Greek Bank. They have brought the country on the brink of chaos. Instead of apologizing and taking on their responsibilities, what are they doing? They are threatening all those who don’t support their unilateral decisions that they will be held responsible for the results of their own policies. This indeed is immeasurable audacity of the highest order.
AKEL is a responsible party and has proven this over time. However, what always guides us is the interests of the people, and not the expediencies or considerations of the Anastasiades-DISY government. We will therefore fight to save the people’s deposits that the government and ruling forces have put at risk; to protect the primary family home up to €350000 of those who are not responsible for their inability to repay their loans. In addition, we shall struggle to give the economy a perspective. If Mr. Neophytou thinks he can blackmail us then he is deluding himself. Let them take up their responsibilities and let others make their decisions.
As for his challenge for a discussion, we are at his disposal whenever he wants and on any subject. He as a rule is the one refusing to conduct such a discussion.
