AKEL denounces illegal “government” actions to prevent joint actions of GC and TC in occupied areas

The Right-wing and illegal “government” that recently assumed power in the occupied areas, activated “legislation” through which it is attempting to prevent joint events of Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots in the occupied areas, events aiming at peace and the reunification of our country and people.
AKEL denounces in the strongest possible terms the actions of the illegal government of the pseudo-state, which are a continuation of other actions that are seeking to put a stop to the channels of contact between the two communities and that are poisoning the relations between Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriots. More specifically, the same also occurred in the case of the imposition of restrictions on the religious ceremonies of the Greek Cypriots in the occupied part of the island.
AKEL supports the struggle of the Turkish Cypriot peace-loving forces against the actions of the Right-wing pseudo-state and expresses its belief that the forces of chauvinism and separation will not manage to impede the prospect of peace and the reunification of our homeland
