Cypriots’ considerations on the economy of the country are the worst within the EU and Eurozone countries

Statement by Georgos Loucaides, AKEL C.C. Press Spokesperson

AKEL C.C. Press Office, 17th March 2014, Nicosia

Up to 97% of the Cypriot people, according to the “Euro barometer”, consider as bad the economic situation in Cyprus. Correspondingly, the percentages with respect to the employment situation, economic situation of households and peoples personal work situation are by far the worst registered in the average EU and Eurozone level.

It is obvious that people have not been persuaded by President Anastasiades and the government ruling forces that we are experiencing a new economic miracle, but instead the people fully understand the reality that surrounds us. That is to say, we are going from bad to worse.
