50 Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots participated in the Photography Competition of AKEL and GUE/NGL

Results of the Bi-communal Photography Competition of AKEL and the European United Left/North Green Left

The bi-communal Photography Competition organized by AKEL and the Group of GUE/NGL in the European Parliament finished on Tuesday 5th November with the selection of the 12 photographs that will be awarded, as well as the rest of the photos that will be included in a photo exhibition to foloow.

BeFunky-collage2A total of 50 Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots participated in the competition with more than 190 photos.

The jury consisted of Andriana Malekides, Yıltan Taşçı, Nilgun Guney, Tasos Costeas and Christakis Sazeides. The Organizing Committee was composed of Elias Demetriou, Ismail Oziyol and Marinos Kleanthous.

The 12 winners of the competition (in alphabetical order) are inauguration of the following:

Candan Behzatoğlu, Elias Lambrou, Engin Kunt, Erkan Çelikeri, Giorgos Zarvos, Haroulla H. Adamou Samata, Kyriakos Arkatitis, Marios Ioannidis, Mehmet Bülent Türkelman, Nagihan Şekercioğlu, Peril Sözgen Emiroğluları, Veysi Canateş.

The event during which the winners of the completion will receive their awards and the inauguration of the photography exhibition will take place on Saturday, 14th December, 11 a.m. at “Chateau Status” in Nicosia.
