The narrative “neither Anastasiades, nor Malas” in the end kept Anastasiades in the presidency. EDEK leader contradicts himself

AKEL C.C. Press Office, 5th February 2018, Nicosia

We will not reply to Socialdemocratic EDEK Party leader Mr. Sizopoulos. We will simply remind him of what he himself had declared on 28th December, 2017 on ANT1 TV:

“I personally have made it very clear: I will do everything possible so that Nicos Anastasiades will not be elected. EDEK has been experiencing the worst terror against it by Nicos Anastasiades over the past five years…EDEK has never experienced such terror and exclusion under any administration, even though we are the 4th parliamentary party…”

The narrative “neither Anastasiades, nor Malas” supported by Mr. Sizopoulos, just like the other parties of the so-called “intermediate” political spectrum, in the end kept Mr. Anastasiades in the presidency.

We respect their decisions, but that is the reality.
