The Archbishop could have confined himself to his spiritual role, acted as a preacher of unity and love, not of division.
Statement by Yiorgos Loucaides, member of the Political Bureau and AKEL-Left-New Forces Parliamentary Representative
AKEL C.C. Press Office, 2nd February 2018, Nicosia
The Archbishop, as he is unfortunately accustomed to doing, spoke disrespectfully about the supporters of Stavros Malas and with arrogance in favour of Nicos Anastasiades, his chosen one in the election. Pity. He could have confined himself to his spiritual role, appropriate to an Archbishop and acted as a preacher of unity and love, not of division.
Once again we leave the Archbishop to the judgment of citizens.
