Result of the 2nd Bicommunal Photography Competition organised by AKEL – GUE/NGL
The 2nd Bi-Community Photography Competition organised by AKEL and the Group of GUE/NGL in the European Parliament ended successfully with the selection of the photographs to be awarded, as well as the photographs that will be included in the photo exhibition that will follow.
A total of 47 Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots participated in the competition with 170 photos.
The jury was composed of Anthi Alexandrou, Andri Demetriou, Giltan Tastzi, Nilgun Guneyi and Tasos Kosteas. The Organizing Committee included Elias Demetriou, Ismail Ozyol and Marinos Cleanthous.
The first 3 winners of the competition are the following:
– A Prize – Angelos Michael – “The cat of the green line”
– B Prize – Cemalye Kavani – “Barbed wires are not an obstacle”
– C Prize – Elias Lambrou – “Give peace a hope”

The event during which the winners of the competition will be awarded and the photo exhibition will be inaugurated will take place on Saturday, 19th December at 11 a.m. at Chateau Status in Nicosia.
