Pancyprian Photography Competition

 

AKEL and GUE/NGL are co-organizing a Pancyprian Photography Competition on the theme “Traditional Occupations in Cyprus”

The Rapprochement Bureau of the C.C. of AKEL and the AKEL Delegation in the Group of the European United Left/Nordic Green Left (GUE/NGL) are organizing a photography competition on the theme “Traditional Occupations in Cyprus” which starts today 18th September and ends on 20th October.

The competition seeks to highlight the common popular folk traditions of Cypriots through photographs taken by Greek Cypriots, Turkish Cypriots and other inhabitants of our island.

The best twelve photos that will be judged by the bi-communal panel will be included in the 2020 Calendar to be published by AKEL and the GUE/NGL. Furthermore, the best photographs will also be included in an exhibition that will be held in Nicosia and subsequently at the European Parliament in Brussels.
