Μήνυμα προς το 23ο Συνέδριο απέστειλαν οι Κομμουνιστές της Καταλονίας (Ισπανία):

« Dear comrades,
receive warm greetings from Communists of Catalonia to the leadership and all the delegates to the 23rd
Congress of AKEL. We hope and we are sure that the discussions in your congress will strengthen the party and
its position within the politics and the working class in Cyprus.
Your congress comes at a very important time for us communists. How can we deal with the climate emergency
that we have upon us?
How can we improve the living conditions of the working class and the popular strata, after the crisis of the
pandemic, especially since we will probably face new cuts in the welfare state, with the European neoliberal
agenda.
How can we fight imperialism and its wars across the Middle East and the world?
These are questions that we all should do, and we will wish to read the conclusions of your congress, in order to
improve our strategy adapted to our own conditions.
This congress also could be an important milestone for the reunification of Cyprus, the end of Turkish
occupation and the reconciliations of Greek and Turkish Cypriots. In this case you have our full solidarity and we
will also follow closely these conclusions of your congress.
We hope to keep on reinforcing the brotherly relations of our two parties, and to keep the contact and exchange
of ideas.
Long Live to proletarian internationalism!
