Government will continue to impose the same austerity policies that have impoverished our people

The President of the governing DISY party Averof Neophytou carefully avoided giving an answer on the substance of the issue. He continues his deafening silence, since he did not find a single word to criticize the new machinations against the Greek people. He chose to repeat the well-known tale about the previous government’s responsibilities.
The DISY President always forgets his own statements. He forgets that the Troika was brought to Cyprus by his friends, the best – according to his statements – bankers in the world and not by anyone else. We are confronted with the consequences of the robbery committed by the banks and the Cypriot people are suffering from these very consequences.
Evidently our people are also suffering at the same time from the effects and results of the so-called “therapy” Averof Neophytou, DISY party and the Anastasiades government, hand in hand with the Troika, have imposed on the people of Cyprus. Unfortunately, despite the fact that the installments by the Troika have been terminated, at the same time neither has the supervision of the Cyprus economy ended, let alone the results and consequences of these policies. On the contrary, we hear from the government and ruling forces that they will continue to impose the same austerity policies that have impoverished our people.
