AKEL ON THE ATTACK ON THE OFFICES OF THE CP OF TURKEY

 

 

 

AKEL condemns the brutal attack on the offices of the Communist Party of Turkey which has become the target of the fierce repression by the Turkish authorities. The attack resulted in the injury of several members and friends of the Party and the destruction of the offices of the Party and the Cultural Centre “Nazim Hikmet.”

 

AKEL salutes the stance of the Communist Party of Turkey which both on the issue of the installation of the NATO “Patriot” missile shield in Turkey, as well as on the occasion of the events before yesterday, has reacted through mass action and urges the Turkish government to release immediately all the detained demonstrators and end the attacks of violence and repression.
