AKEL ON THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT AND THE TROIKA ON THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

AKEL demands that the Government send to all the political forces the final text of the Memorandum of Understanding, as this was agreed with the Troika.
As AKEL given that we receive the final agreement on the Memorandum will study it so that we shall be in a position to state our position also with regards specific aspects that have been included as new elements.
We reiterate at the same time that the catastrophic consequences of the agreement between Nicos Anastasiades and the Eurogroup on 15th March 2013 render the search of solutions outside the Memorandum yoke imperative, given that Cyprus has entered a deep social and economic deadlock which as time goes by will become even more harsh and painful for the Cypriot people.
