AKEL will insist on fighting on the current and future issues of concern to the Cypriot people

Whenever the leadership of the governing DISY party are unable to respond to our criticism and defend their actions and policies, it resorts to its well-known aphorisms against AKEL, the previous government and Demetris Christofias. Three years after assuming office, they think that in doing so they can cover up the destructive policies and mistakes of their government or party.

We will not resort to the past, not of course out of fear, since the history of others is the history of political support towards illegal activity and fascist behaviour.

As it was others who gave generous political support to the “best bankers and Central Banker in the world”, as they were calling them, acting initially as the lookouts of the robbery committed by the banks and completing in March 2013 their destructive work.

We will insist on fighting on the current and future issues of concern to the Cypriot people, aiming at the recovery of all that citizens and working people have lost, but also for the rectification of institutions that are in dire straits as a result of the policies implemented by the government and ruling forces.
